Lake County News

LAKE COUNTY - The New Prairie Winds Community Theatre in Crosby N.D., selected Connor Snyder's play, "The Rhinestone Ranger" to kick-off the opening of their new theatre.

The play was presented through the Meadowlark Arts Council to a "turnaway" crowd including the First Lady of North Dakota, Nancy Jones Shafer and the Lieutenant Governor, Rose Marie Myrdal. The Governor's office sent a lovely note expressing their enjoyment of the play.

Snyder has written and published 15 children's plays and stories over the past five years. Most of the plays have debuted in various Lake County schools with Lake County children performing. Because Snyder has licensed the production of her plays to arts councils and public schools all over the U.S., performances such as this one in North Dakota have been repeated many times in cities large and small in various states of the country.

Snyder expressed her appreciation to the Lake County community, its school administrators, teachers, arts council and most of all, the wonderful children of Lake County for their encouragement during the past eight years.
